DEVELOPMENT ???

It said that : Development is a process of providing services for removing obstacles and giving freedom from all kind of discrimination.
As the election of world's largest democracy is in it's final stage and the formation of new government is expected in the month of June. All the parties did the no. of meetings, campaigns but none of them define DEVELOPMENT clearly. The campaigns of 2014 is more interested in persons rather than society.

So, What the development means and who is it intended for? My short answer to this question is IT DEPENDS.

Why it depends: What is development to poor person from small rural village living in Metro city? To a lower caste migrant worker in Mumbai slum? To every woman in India? To the farmer who is the highest risk taker still do the same business to feed the nation? There may be certainly be points of convergence but the answers will definately diverse.

So what kind of development we actually need?

Development in simplest sense should be the ability of all of us to realize our true potential.

Development is not just about building of roads, big businesses and shining tall buildings. They are people, community, gender. The must thing require for better development id good governance and we called governance is good when there is 5% of better policy and 95% of their actual transparent implementation. It will make very adverse effect to economy if the things go reverse.

Most of the people thinks that rising incomes, growing infrastructure is actual development. Not always true, rising incomes is no guarantee of greater personal welfare. Similarly, a larger economy does mean growth not the development. It doesn't ensure proper wealth distribution, access to quality healthcare, women safety etc. The richer getting richer and the poor continue to live in a slums in big shining cities with poor nutrition and livelihood.

India has the largest number of poor people in the world. We also lead in diseases like cancer, TB and diabetic. One of every three Indian children is malnourished as per the WHO report. Our cities are no longer safe to roam around.

No doubt the running govt crated the no. of new regimes like RTE, Food security, land bill but on other side the lot of money goes away in the form of various scams and the reason we are much ahead in our non plan expenditure compare with budgeted one.

At last I just want to say whoever forms the next government they must ensure their should not be system discrimination of caste, religion and gender. Development is real when each one of us lives a life of respect without any fear in any community, village, city, state and the nation.

Foodo Nomics

While sitting in café in pune I saw two unkempt children peer through the window. They tap at the glass, trying to get the

attention of customers who are sipping the coffee and eating the sandwiches. The children appear thin and small for their ages and it may because of malnourishments and after the ignorance of customer they ran away.

I sure that you also gone through such scenes which now a days are in commonplace, where despite plentiful resources of food, millions of people struggle to get enough nutrition (According to the International Food Policy Research Institute’s Global Hunger Index, India now rates in the top four in the world for undernourished children under the age of 5) and raising inflation has made the situation more difficult for the poor.

On the surface of that recently launched Food Security Bill aims to remove poverty and malnutrition but the as per my opinion, supplying food grain will may eliminate poverty but not the malnutrition as both are having difference.

The widespread concern that the move of FSB will actually hurt India’s economy. Some economist argues that the scheme will weaken India’s investment scenario over coming months as they feel it is political stunt (Vote Bank Scheme). It will also create more burdens to India’s already wide budget deficit. Meanwhile, others doubted how effective the food security scheme will actually be, given corruption and inefficient distribution system. The distribution system in India – whether subsidised food grain or cooked midday meals in school or PHC is very flawed and not benefiting the target group as expected.

The dual pricing of

basic goods on such a large scale will going to lead price distortion in both domestic and international market (concerns being raised by developed countries over the government's food security programme in recent WTO ministerial conference in Bali).

It is widely believed that India needs to achieve growth of 8% to create enough jobs. Last year our economic growth slowed to low of 5%. Foreign investments is going out, RBI is fighting with depreciating rupee & growing inflation, we are struggling to reduce fiscal deficit and CAD and on that govt. FSB is fuelled these concerns. The sign is simple that Politics is winning over economics at this point of time.

Economist and bankers are concern about financial situation of the country. One side of coin is that govt. is proposing cut in subsidies because this would take the burden out of the budget deficit figure and at the same time what same govt. is doing – apart from all the reasons for the food security of the country – there is a cost and cost of this particular FSB is really high. (> 1 lakh crore – Govt. figure & >2 lakh crore – CACP estimate beside infrastructure and other costs)

So the situation today is leading us nowhere and people are getting sceptical on the overall picture of Indian economy after fully implementation of FSB.

I am not against to cater the food to poor at subsidised price but it will successful only when we clearly able to draw a straight line between the warehouse to home of needy one without causing damage to economy.

8 March...

In any place today, there are woman's as much as men. It is really proud to see them and thought within our self that, we should inculcate that enthusiasm and courage in our self.

The most important changes seen in women today is that they stand for what they feel is right and live by it , no matter what comes in their way. Though outgoings we have not lost the touch of our roots and follow culture in every possible way.

Life teaches us many things through the experiences we have everyday and from peoples with whom we met daily. I have learnt many things from women's who are involved in my day-2-day life either directly or indirectly.

Starting from my grandmother who brought me up with love and affection when my mother was away (In fact I never leave my mother when I was small). The first word she tought me , the love with which she would be waiting for me every evening for me to return from school, the money which she used to gave for chocolates after so much praying.
She was the one who teaches how to love fellow human beings and treat them with compassion.

My mother is where I draw most of my inspiration. She has always been multitask er in my eyes right from my childhood, managing our school work and household activities. This enthusiasm is mirrored in me, which made me gain education from one of the best institute in India and inspire me to "see the light when everything around you is dark".
Hats off to you Mom....

The another one is my sister who is the best ever friend of mine.

As the saying goes,"Your life is blessed when your family treats you like friend and friends treats you like family."
I am blessed and privileged to have such ladies in my life. I love you all and feel proud to be a part of this wonderful family.

This blog is especially for all ladies on the occasion of International Women s Day.

HAPPY WOMEN'S DAY...

ImPoRtAnCe.....

As friends of mine asking about my new blog, I told them that it will come soon. During first week of December something happened which force me write on that part and hence here I am writing about that hope u all enjoy to read these……..

Date 6th December: As my daily routine I went to my office as usual on 10 A.M in morning and sat in my cabin although I was not feeling well, worked till 16.00, finished all my financial work for company and I was feeling that today is my last day of week in office although it was second day of week only. I left the office @ 16:30 and coming down through stairs when my phone vibrates, I took a call and person from other side told, Sir I am calling from Flikpart, I suddenly remembered that I ordered 3 books from them. On one side I am dying to go home as I was not well and on other side that boy from Flikpart told me to wait for 15 minutes more, but I have to wait for that since those were books I ordered. I think u all eager to know about books , lets owe the names of books,

(1) Revolution 2020 – Chetan Bhagat (2) LIWYMI – Preeti Shenoy & (3) Autobiography

At last I came to my room @ 18.00 hrs. and down on my bed without removing my shoes as there was not that much energy to do so. I made myself strong and went to hospital nearby my room.

I entered in CHINTAMANI hospital , sister asked me in Casualty Whom do u want to meet ??? I told, I want to meet doctor. Sister showed me the way and I entered inside doctors cabin. He asked me who is the patient??? I told him myself is patient , He gave me smile and asked me to get down on bed. I feel so much relaxed as these most I want at that time. He asked me about relatives I told him that I am Alone here in pune and some friends are here but they are out of pune for work. He said fine and asked me to get admitted as temperature already reached 101.

As I was on bed sisters started their work, they came with needles, syringes , injections and saline bottle. I get tensed , not because of nurses but with the things they bought after all that was my first experience in Hospital from birth and finally I shifted to Deluxe room of Hospital. The process to lower down temp. started with cocktail of injections and saline bottles round the night and don’t remember the time when I slept.

Today is 7th December , Morning 6.00 Dr. Sayli came and woke up me for check-up, I get fresh and sister told me to get inside something as injections are waiting to show their actions inside my body to kill their counterpart TEMPERATURE. Sister handed over me a full page of medicines to get from Medical. I told her Sister I am Alone at present. She told me it’s fine I called MAMA for your help, I told OK.

After a period of time a man of 45-50 yr. age came to me and asked for prescription pad, I handed over him with money and from that day he was the only person who helped me for my medicines. Lots of thanks for his help. That was the time when I felt that you don’t know the time when you need the help from an unknown person without asked him anything. He was the person who explain me the importance of Time Management with simple line, Seconds delay take life Away ...>>>

That second day all sisters had only one questions for me that You had breakfast???, You had lunch???, You had dinner???, but how they know that I don’t want to eat anything , I just only want rest due to weakness. But what they do it’s their duty to care patient as much. Thanks for your concern sisters.

Till that day I was alone in room , but in evening one boy a year older than me came besides me, I think is good to not disclose the reason for him admission but do not think unwanted(I know you people are smart in speculations) as issue was very nominal.

He came with his cousin and uncle, simultaneously his parents, relatives all were in hospital and occupied the whole room, thank god rooms was very large enough. The situation in room was totally contrast, On one side there was that Kabaddi player surrounded with all his near and dear and other side me alone on my bed seeing towards them which made me emotional somewhat as I miss my near and dear one who are always concern (My Parents) about my health was not with me. LLL I just talk with the on my phone and assured them that I was not serious, their voice only feel me that they are near to me.

But I noticed that boy was shouted on his parents, his mother told me to tell something to him as he is restless. I told him that, yaar (friend) you are lucky that your parents with you they are caring for you don’t upset them by showing your restlessness, be strong enough in front of them. I know it is like GYANNNNN, JJJ but it is daammm true. And with that, night of 7 Dec. went off with temperature with me. (I think temp. don’t want to leave meJJJ)

But on same night it was 23.00 hrs. And I felt shivering in my body initially I thought it was due to cool weather outside but it (shivering) on its peak and my bed vibrate like earthquake. Boy beside me call sister , sister called Dr. Amrut who was in IPD, That was the first time when I lost my courage and feel to cried L, but didn’t. But thanks to Dr. Amrut as he gave me strength that time, he hold my body which was vibrating like anything and instruct sister to inject four injections inside body and suddenly shivering came down and I slept .

Next day situation of mine create doubt in mind of doctors and they dictate to get some tests more to clear their doubts. Thank god those reports were normal. I spent again two days in hospital to get normal and temperature became constant.

The thing which insist me to write these blog is that, When you are alone and that to in difficult situation, that time only you realise the important of unknown person in your life. I am saying all these because during that six days I feel the same.

I just want to thanks Dr. Sayli, Dr. Rupali, and Dr. Amrut who came frequently and asked me. Thanks to all sisters from JANKI and KERLA who took care of my medicine 24x6 in hospital. Thanks to all staff of CHINTAMANI hospital pune for their service. And last but not the least Dr. Sachin Yadav, Dr. Garad and Dr. Bharat for their consultation.

It is just my feelings which I want to feel for them…….:)JJJ

Those six days remind me a lines which I read in some book which says, God doesn’t give you the people you want, he gives you the people you need , To help you, to hurt you, to leave you, to love you and to make you the person you were mean to be……

LoVe ThE LiFe NoT SpEnT......

When I was kid, may be world was big for me

I remember the road from my home to school which had CHAT KE THELE, BARF KE GOLE KI DUKAN, MITHAI KI DUKAN etc. but now those replace by MOBILE SHOPEE, VIDEO GAME PARLOR etc. but all silent.

“I Think world is shrinking now.”

When I was kid, may be evening was long for me

I remember I played till long evening, that Long Cycle race, that long cricket matches but now there is no long evening. Day ends with work and directly night is come.

“I Think Time is Shrinking now.”

When I was kid, may be friendship was tight

Whole day we friends play games, that food from friends home and the same punishment for all friends in school.

Now I still have those friends but don’t know where they are???

The thing is changed to “Hiii” on traffic signal or exchange SMS on Holi , Diwali and new year.

“I Think Relation Is changing now”

When I was kid , games were also different like Chupan Chupai, Langdi, Gilli Danda, Cricket etc. but now there is no time from Google, Facebook , Yahoo etc.

“I think Life is Changing now”

The large truth about life is that there is no tomorrow, it will be in our dream only.

For My Mother...

You loves me right from the start.
You holds me close to your heart.
The bond that grows will never end.
Your love is so strong it will never change.

You gives me a never ending Love.
You never feels that you has given enough.
For me you will always do your best.

You are there when things go wrong.
A hug and a talk to help me along.
Always there when I need you near.
Gently wipes my eyes when I shed a tear.

Gifts and presents are nice but that is not enough.

So on this day I shower you with Love.
that you can possibly imagine.

But simply say

Happy Mother’s Day
